Abstract
The aim of this article is to enable reflection on practice by exploring a nurse-patient scenario and identifying what factors trigger anger and aggressive behaviour. It recommends strategies that can be used to tackle anger among patients, and emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Anger management, which usually refers to cognitive behavioural therapy designed to enable people to manage anger, is not explored.Citation
